Mr. Joseph M. Culmo, of Knowlesville, passed away on October 25, 2017 at the Medina Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Culmo was born in Albion, May 24, 1931, a son of the late Vincent James and Mamie (Minneci) Culmo.  A US Army veteran, he served from 1952-1954.  On June 27, 1959, he married the former Roxanne Miller and they have been long time Knowlesville residents.  Mr. Culmo worked for the Thomas J. Lipton Company for 17 years and retired from Harrison Radiator Division of GMC in the mid 1990’s.  He was an active volunteer at the Knowlesville United Methodist Church and often helped out with church activities.  He enjoyed working with electronics, photography and videotaped many family activities and functions.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Roxanne; 3 children, Michael (Janene) Culmo, Daniel (Dawn Pfromm) Culmo and Cheryl (Jerry) Dona; 7 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 6 great grandchildren; his brother, Peter Culmo; a sister, Josephine Stisser; 3 brothers-in-law, Edward (Shirley) Miller, Gordie (Debbie) Miller and Lyle (Nancy) Miller; 3 sisters-in-law, Carol and Freda Culmo and Darlene Rossi;  several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  He was predeceased by a sister, Concetta Culmo and 3 brothers, Sam, Jim and Charles Culmo.

Friends may call on Sunday (4-7) at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina, where his funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 AM.  The Rev. Marilyn J. Kasperek and the Rev. Kim Smith will officiate and interment will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery where military honors will be accorded at graveside by members of Lincoln Post #1483, VFW and Butts-Clark Post #204, American Legion.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Medina Memorial Hospital.
