David E. Blanc

~~Mr. David E. Blanc, of Medina, passed away on April 24, 2017 at his home with his family by his side. Mr. Blanc was born in Rochester, June 6, 1945, a son of the late Bruce Eugene and Joan Margaret (McKinnon) Blanc.  He served in the US Army in Vietnam from 1967-1970. He married the former Kelly J. Howell in August, 1988.  Mr. Blanc was employed by Conrail and retired from the Eastman Kodak Company. Dave enjoyed coffee with the Grumpy Old Men’s Club at Captain Kidz.  He was a jokester and had a great sense of humor.  He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Kelly, 2 daughters, Tricia Blanc and Wendy Blanc both of Rochester; 4 grandchildren,  Katie White, Jaden Blanc, Kristin Hicks and Jocelyn Culter; 2 great grandsons; his mother-in-law, Nancy Howell; 2 sisters-in-law, Linda Blanc and Brenda Jenks; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Gary R. (late Patricia) Blanc and Bruce T. Blanc and his niece, Amy Jo Castricone. Friends may call on Friday, May 5, 2017 (2-4) at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina where his funeral service will be held at 4 PM following visitation.  Pastor Linda Haight will officiate. Military honors will be accorded by members of Lincoln Post #1483, VFW and Butts-Clark Post #204, American Legion.
