Marian Jesse Boyle

Mrs. Marian Jessie “Jimmy” “Gumby” (Haak) Boyle , 103, of Medina, died peacefully with her son, Daryl, by her side on October 13, 2016 at Orchard Manor Nursing Home. Mrs. Boyle was born in Shelby Center, NY on August 6, 1913 a daughter of the late Wilhelmine Carolina Fredericka Grier and Carl August Friedrich Haak. A graduate of Medina High School, class of 1932, she married Milford William “Bill” Boyle on July 1, 1936. During World War II, she worked for Harrison Radiator. She was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church of Medina, and volunteered at the Medina Memorial Hospital. Survivors include her son, Daryl (Marilyn) Boyle of Richland, WA; 2 grandsons, Brian (Lisa) Boyle of Medina and Patrick T. (Tanya) Boyle of Elba; 3 great-grandchildren, Becky, Dillon, and Sam; a great-great-grandson, Logan; her daughter-in-law, Rosey Boyle; her brother-in-law, Charles Mancuso; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Milford William Boyle; her son, Terry C. (late Jane) Boyle; 3 sisters, Marguerite Jane Mancuso, Harriett Albertina Bowen and Helen Gertrude Monica Ehrbright and her lifelong friend, Pauline Covert. Friends may call on Monday 12-2PM at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 West Center St., Medina, where her funeral service will immediately follow at 2PM. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, West Shelby, NY. Memorials may be made to the Orchard Manor Nursing Home Activities Department, 600 Bates Road, Medina, NY 14103.
