Andrea Lonnen, 45, Medina, NY passed away suddenly on April 22, 2018.

Andrea was born on March 3, 1973 in Medina, NY. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, teacher and friend to many. For 18 years she was a beloved kindergarten teacher in the Medina School District and touched the lives of many along the way. Andrea’s family meant the most to her. Her children were the backbone of her world. Anyone who knew Andrea knew how big her heart was. She would always put the needs of others before herself. She gave her whole heart and soul to those she loved including her furry friends. An active member and secretary of the Parent Athletic Club you couldn’t miss her smile in the stands of any Medina sporting event. She was invested in her community and her school and even became the VP of the teacher’s union. To know Andrea was to love her, we all lost a piece of our hearts when we lost her.

Andrea is survived by her husband, Kip Lonnen; children, Hannah, Dylan and Maggie Lonnen; sister, Caitlin Barry; father, Richard (Jackie Harmon) Barry; mother and father-in law, Betty Ann and Lynn Carson; grandmother, Isabelle Cotter; aunts, Linda (Tom) Flower, Patricia Collins, Lissa Cotter and Susan Motten; cousins, Devon Collins, Todd (Robin) Houseman, David and Deb Lonnen and Mercedes (Cody) George and many other loving family members. Andrea was predeceased by her mother, Colleen Barry; father, Fran (Cindy) Perry; grandfather, Edward Cotter; uncle, Andrew Cotter and cousin, Jennifer Lonnen.

Friends may call on Friday (3-5, 7-9) at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 West Center Street, Medina.  The Rev. Daniel J. Fawls will celebrate her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 11AM at Holy Trinity Parish/St. Mary's Church and interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
