Betty I. Clute

Betty I. Clute, 91, of Medina, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at the Villages of Orleans Health and Rehab Center in Albion.

Born July 9, 1927, she was the daughter of the late William and Aretta “Reta” (Wilkinson) Tugwood. Mrs. Clute graduated from Medina High School in the class of 1945 and married Ralph Eugene Clute, Sr. on July 14, 1947. They were longtime residents of Medina and together they raised a family of four children. Mrs. Clute enjoyed camping, travelling, doing creative crafts and also gardening.  In recent years she also attended Oak Orchard Assembly of God in Medina.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Ralph on January 1, 1990 her son, Douglas Clute on March 27, 2018 and her sister, Eleanor Jividen.

Survivors include three sons, Ralph E. (Elaine) Clute, Jr., James (Nancy) Clute and Scott (Susan) Clute; thirteen grandchildren, Aaron, Ryan, Karyn, Adam, Sarah, Joshua, Jillian, Kathryn, Robert, Jason, Rachel, Eric and Christopher; also many great-grandchildren.

Calling hour will be held on Friday, January 25th, from 1:00PM to 2:00PM at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina, where her memorial service will immediately follow at 2:00PM.  The Rev. Daniel A. Thurber will officiate. Burial will be in Boxwood Cemetery at a later date in the spring.
