Bonnie L. Joy, of Lyndonville, NY passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, December 17, 2024.
Born December 1, 1942 in Albion, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Lelia (Shephard) Rogers. Bonnie was a graduate of Lyndonville High School Class of 1960. She married her high school sweetheart, the late Allan L. Joy that same year on July 9, 1960. Bonnie worked for Rochester Products before raising her family full time. A homemaker most of her life, the couple raised four children and resided in the area all their lives. A very faithful person, Bonnie was a member of several area churches over the years. She enjoyed gardening, playing euchre with her family and going yard-saling. Bonnie was a social person and especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Bonnie was predeceased by her husband, Allan in 2007; infant son, Timothy Joy; son, Michael Joy; and her brother, Joseph “J Roy” Rogers.
Survivors include her two daughters, Becky Joy of Lyndonville and Jennifer (Fred) Roth of Medina; four grandchildren, Justin (Erin) Crossett, Katie Crossett, Emily Crossett and Sarah (Vincent) Ross; three great-grandchildren, Savannah, Kehu and Melu; her sister, Julie (late Bryan) Case; and several nieces and nephews.
Private interment will be in Lynhaven Cemetery, Lyndonville. Arrangements are in the care of Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina.
