Carl R. "Bud" Costich

Carl R. “Bud” Costich, age 87 passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022 at the Orchard Rehab & Nursing Center.

Born January 7, 1934 in Webster, NY, Mr. Costich was a son of the late Herbert R. and Margaret (O’Connell) Costich. On June 15, 1957, he married the former Carol E. Sorg. Mr. Costich was a self-employed fruit farmer most of his life, growing strawberries, apples and cherries. He also was the owner/operator of Costich Nursery where he grew and sold Christmas trees for many years. Mr. Costich was a member of the Orleans County Farm Bureau and council #651, Knights of Columbus. When not farming, he enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting and travelling.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Bonnie Costich in May 5, 2002; and brother, Vern Costich.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Carol Costich; four children, Larry (Carol) Costich, Linda Costich, Colleen Stahl and Jeffrey (Tina) Costich; grandchildren, Timothy, Daniel, Richard Costich, Kari Keppler, Jeremy Gonzolez, Rebecca Terzo, Trisha Webber, Kaitlin, Megan and Noah Costich; eighteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Private interment was held in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina.
