David G. Lockwood

David G. Lockwood, age 72, of Lyndonville, NY entered into rest on Saturday, December 14, 2024 following a brief illness.

Born November 1, 1952 in Lockport, he was a son of the late Harold and Betty (Melloon) Lockwood. Dave worked as a truck driver and mechanic for many years. He was known as a jack of all trades who could fix just about anything. Dave loved his dogs. He especially cherished spending time with his daughter and grandchildren and attending all of their school events. He will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four siblings, Joseph Melloon, Daniel Lockwood, Darlene Penwright and Patricia McGuire.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Shannon Lockwood (Josh Wittcop) of Lyndonville; grandchildren, Mariah Wittcop and Joshua Wittcop, Jr.; friend and companion of 36 years, Debbie Robertson of Lyndonville; siblings, Chris (Liz) Lockwood, Paul (Janice) Lockwood, Harold (Jennifer) Lockwood, Pete Lockwood, Diane (Robert) Redman and Kathy (Mike) Dunker; and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be held on Friday, Dec. 20 at 11AM at the Hess Road Wesleyan Church, 2514 Hess Rd., Appleton, NY 14008. Interment will be in Lynhaven Cemetery, Lyndonville. Arrangements are in the care of Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina.
