Medina: David C. Neischel, age 85, passed away April 7, 2025, at Medina Memorial Hospital. He was born November 8, 1939, in Holland, NY and moved to Medina, NY in 1970.

David was a proud Army veteran, serving honorably from 1958-1961. He worked for Fisher-Price in Holland, NY and East Aurora, NY before relocating to Medina to serve as the Quality Control Supervisor at their new manufacturing location. David was very active in the local community and was a lifetime member of the Ridgeway Volunteer Fire Company and was also influential in creating an American Red Cross chapter in Medina. After retiring from Fisher-Price after 35 years, he helped teach students in the home construction trades at Orleans/Niagara BOCES.In addition to his parents Norm and Kitty, David was predeceased by his sisters, Sue Phillips and Sharon Makowski.

David is survived by his loving wife Cookie, children, Retired USAF Col. Jeffrey (Laura) Neischel, Stacey (Chris) Crosby, grandsons, Matthew (Marilyn) Crosby and Evan Crosby, sister Dawn (late Louie) Jung, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

David's family will receive friends at the Cooper Funeral Home 215 W. Center St. Medina, NY 14103 on Sunday, April 13th from 1:00-3:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in David’s name may be made to the Ridgeway Volunteer Fire Co. or the Orleans Community Health Foundation.
