Elaine D. Medrano

Elaine D. Medrano, 63 of Medina entered into rest on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at the Medina Memorial Hospital.

Born October 19, 1955 in Medina, Elaine was a daughter of the late William Elster, Sr. and Shirley (Bellamy) Elster. She married Luciano “Max” Medrano in 1998. Elaine worked for many years as the front office manager for the Lake Country Pennysaver in Albion. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Max Medrano; three children, Thomas (Ronda Schreiber) Shingleton, John (Christine) Shingleton and Jennifer (Greg) Shingleton; sixteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; siblings, Susan (Tim) Cutshall, Valerie Elster, William G. (Donald Much) Elster, Jr. and Kim (Eric) Brown; mother in-law, Teodora Huere; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Elaine was predeceased by three children, Elizabeth Shingleton in 1999, William Shingleton in 2003 and Amanda Bloom in 2011; and a grandson, Donald Banks, Jr. in 1995.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 11th from 12-2 p.m. at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina, where her memorial service will immediately follow at 2 p.m. The Rev. Daniel A. Thurber will officiate. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Hartland Central Cemetery Columbarium, Gasport.
