Mrs. Elizabeth A. Mesler, of Medina, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at her home.
Mrs. Mesler was born in the Town of Albion, June 4, 1939, a daughter of the late Sherman and Ruth Kidney. A graduate of Medina High School, class of 1957, she married Willard C. Mesler on October 12, 1957. She worked as a hairdresser from her home, and at her son Robert’s convenience store (The Pop Shop), sold hot dogs and hamburgs at Medina Cruise Nights, worked for Robert H. Newell Shirt Factory and Fisher Price Toys. She was the sexton at Bates Road Cemetery for 32 years. She was a hard worker, would help anyone she could, loved spending time with her family, loved gardening, the sun shine, going to yard sales and also holding her own yard sales. She was a Majorette with Ridgeway Volunteer Fire Company.
Survivors include her husband, Willard, children, Robert (Michele Mesler, Debra (late Gregory) Traxler, William Mesler and Christina (Dan) Houseman; 8 grandchildren, Amii Mesler, Robert Mesler, Jr., Michael Mesler, Rebecca (Dan) Michaud, Josh (Jamie) Traxler, Brandon (Ashley) Houseman, Zachery Houseman and Felicia Houseman; a great grandchild, Cooper Traxler; sisters, Shirley (late Raymond) Steier, Mary (late Roger) Reabold, Carol (Russell) Pritchard, Sandy Fields and Audrey Rung; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Richard, Gerald and Donald Kidney and Dorothy (late Vincent) Ross.
Friends may call on Wednesday (7-9) at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina.
