Ernest G. Gursslin, 73, of Medina, entered into rest Tuesday Morning, September 6, 2016 at the Orchard Manor Nursing Home.
Born April 10, 1943 in Albion, Mr. Gursslin was the son of the late Herman and Anna (Lewis) Gursslin. He was a farmer for most of his life. Over the years he worked for the Smith Farm, Robinson Farm, Broadwell Farm and the Pettit Farm. Ernie did a lot of work with horses, but his favorite job was to shake the cherries. His favorite past time was rebuilding old cars and going to car shows. He also enjoyed listening to oldies and country music, watching old western movies and especially spending time with his family.
Mr. Gursslin was predeceased by his wife, Patricia (Draper) Gursslin on May 13, 2015. He is survived by his 5 children, Karen (Dave) Shutt, Theresa (Booker) Gursslin, Wanda Gursslin, Ernest D. (Vickie) Gursslin and Brenda (Ray) Gursslin; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 7 brothers, Richard, Leonard (Donna), Jimmy (Jan), Art (Linda), Henry, Ed and Ronnie Gursslin; his sister, Betty; many nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by 3 brothers, Bill, Irving and Al.
Friends are invited to call on Monday, September 12th from 2-3PM at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina, where his memorial service will immediately follow at 3PM. Pastor Linda Haight will officiate. Burial will be in Carlton Cemetery.
