Mrs. JoAnn M. Arnett, of Medina, passed away on January 14, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Arnett was born at home in Batavia, August 9, 1940, a daughter of the late Harold and Elizabeth (Reese) Stockwell. A graduate of Wilson High School, she married William G. Arnett on November 30, 1957. She worked as an admissions clerk at Medina Memorial Hospital for many years. A very active and dedicated member of the Medina area Christian community, JoAnn was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church of Medina. She volunteered with the Medina Area Association of Churches and Kairos Prison Ministry. She lived her life by the teaching of Mathew 7:7 “Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find”. JoAnn liked to knit and collect, she supported PAWS and Planned Parenthood and was a Girl Scout Brownie Leader. Her infectious smile brought joy to all. Survivors include 4 children, Connie Forman, Bonnie (Robert) Lowrimore, Deborah Lynn Arnett(Butch Russo), and William H. (Tracey) Arnett; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Larry (Dorothy) Stockwell and Harold (Jackie) Stockwell, Jr.; 2 sisters, Pat Harmer and Kathy Zeliff; a sister-in-law, Sandy Stockwell; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of nearly 58 years, William G. Arnett on August 17, 2015; and 2 brothers, Richard and William Stockwell and her beloved dog, Maggie. Friends may call on Holy Saturday, April 15, 2017 from 12-2 at the United Methodist Church, 11004 West Center St. Ext., Medina, where her service will follow at 2PM. Pastor Anthony G. Hipes will officiate. Interment will be in the Arnett Family Plot at Mt. Albion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Medina United Methodist Church Kitchen Fund, MAAC or the Knights/Kaderli Memorial Fund.
