June S. Mattle

Beloved Mother, Aunt, Grandmother and friend June Sherry Mattle age 87 went to be with her LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST on Palm Sunday morning March 20, 2016. Born April 19, 1928 in Rochester, NY to William and Mary (Powers) Sherry. Married to Otto Andrew Mattle on May 7, 1949. Together they raised 6 children: Kathleen (David) Zechiel, John (Joan) Mattle, Dawn (Robert) Ogden, Jo Cummings, Jeanne (John) Allen and David Mattle. She was predeceased by her husband Otto in 2003. June was an avid knitter, reader and doing plastic canvas, she also loved doing crosswords, puzzles and playing Chinese checkers (which she always won). She is survived by all 6 of her children, 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren, also many well-loved nieces and nephews. Special mention to good friends Gracie Bingaman of Medina and Marcia Maertin of Shelby. The family would like to thank Flo, Tammy and Chris from the Albion Hospice and all the workers at the residence in Albion who cared for Mom; we couldn’t have done this without all of you. There will be a private family memorial. In lieu of flowers please donate to Hospice.
