~~Kathleen Hare was born in Medina, NY on July 2nd 1955. Her parents were Clifford Kenneth Hare and Ruth Therese Hare. She graduated from Medina High School in 1973. Kathleen went on to become a registered nurse and was employed by a number of Rochester area hospitals. But this is not what Kathleen will be remembered for. She will be remembered for a number of things but here are the most noteworthy. Kathleen had an incredible sense of humor. She could make light of any situation, no matter how dire she had a God given knack for making people laugh. Kathleen was also a gifted artist and photographer. Her work was truly amazing. Kathleen was also compassionate. She vowed to her mother Ruth that Ruth would never live in a nursing home, and she lived up to that vow. Kathleen took care of her mother in her home until her mother passed away in 2011 at the age of 94. Kathleen also had a great love for animals. She loved cats. She was a generous person who donated to various agencies that helped animals. She also loved to feed birds and watch them through her patio door windows. Although Kathleen struggled at times coping with the hardships and sorrows of this life (as we all do), I know that she honestly loved all of her family and her friends. She was especially fond of her nieces - Jordan, Julia, Jaci and Jesi. Kathleen also loved her loyal church friends very much as they ministered to her physical needs, but more importantly to her spiritual needs, during the latter part of her life. Undoubtedly the most significant accomplishment of Kathleen's life occurred during the last stage of her life. With Gods help and the example of Jesus's sacrifice, Kathleen learned the power of forgiveness and helped others learn it also. On Tuesday June 11th, 2017 at the age of 61 Kathleen went home to be with the LORD. Kathleen passed away peacefully at Unity hospital in Rochester, NY. She had a close friend on each side of her at the time of her passing. They described it as very peaceful, and said they could feel the presence of Gods love and peace fill the room at the time of her passing. Kathleen is home now. There is no more physical or emotional pain for her anymore. Only eternal peace, love and joy in the presence of God. We miss her but look forward to being with her again in our true home. Please join us to celebrate Kathleen's life on Saturday June 24th at St Mary's cemetery in Medina, NY. There will be a graveside service (as per Kathleen's wishes) beginning at 2pm.
