Linda N. Baker

Linda (Newton) Baker, 71, went home to be with the Lord on May 12, 2023 at the Arlington Memorial Hospital in Arlington, Texas under hospice care.

Linda was born on November 11, 1951 in Canastota, NY, the daughter of the late Herman and Gladys (Niles) Newton. On July 4, 1985 she married the late Stewart P. Baker of Medina. The couple made their home in Medina until moving to Arlington, Texas in 2018. Linda was a stay-at-home mother and worked as a substitute teacher in many school districts.

Survivors include her son, Paul C. (Meagan) Baker of Arlington, TX; grandson, Graydon J. Baker; brothers, James (Bonnie) Newton and Daniel (Dawn) Newton; brother-in-law, Stephen Baker; several nieces and nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Stewart Baker on March 6, 2020; and sister-in-law, Theresa Newton.

There will be no prior visitation. Her graveside committal service will be held on Saturday, June 24 at 11:00 a.m. at Lynhaven Cemetery in Lyndonville with a luncheon following at the Yates Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Yates Baptist Church, 11365 East Yates Center Rd., Lyndonville, NY 14098 or the Mayfield Road Baptist Church, 1701 E Mayfield Rd., Arlington, TX 76014. Arrangements are in the care of Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina.
