Mildred F. Malone

Mildred F. Malone, 80 of Medina entered into rest on Easter morning, April 21, 2019 at the Martin-Linsin Residence in Albion after a long illness.

Born June 21, 1938 in Bennington, VT, she was a daughter of the late Merritt O’Dell and Hazel M. (Fisk) Hunt. Millie moved to the Medina area as a young girl. She married Donald J. Malone on April 25, 1958. She worked for many years at Fisher-Price in Medina. Millie was a feisty, outgoing and fun-loving person who will be remembered for her wonderfully dry sense of humor. She was a wonderful homemaker, loved her family and was a cherished mother figure to several people outside of her immediate family.

Survivors include her husband, Donald J. Malone; her son, Patrick Sean Malone; brother, Leon (Carol) O’Dell; many beloved nieces, nephews and several cousins.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her son, Michael and daughter, Roxanne Malone; brothers, Merritt, Jr., Vernon, Roland, Donald and William O’Dell; and sisters, Louise Leazer and Marjorie Bevins.

Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 27th at 11 a.m. at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina. The Rev. Daniel Fawls will officiate and burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
