Richard A. Jones, Jr.

Richard A. Jones, Jr., age 44, of Medina, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 due to injuries sustained in a tragic motor vehicle accident.

Born on August 28, 1978 in Killeen, Texas, he was a son of Richard A. Jones, Sr. and the late Diana G. (Staeble) Jones. He lived the majority of his life in Medina and attended Medina Schools. He was currently employed at Northrop Grumman in Buffalo doing soldering work. Rich was a diehard Buffalo Bills fan. An amazing father, Rich was often the loudest parent in the stands at his children’s sporting events. He was always willing to help others and would give the shirt off his back to someone in need. Rich will be remembered as a loving fiancé, devoted father, and proud Papa and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Rich was sadly predeceased by his mother, Diana Jones in 1992.

He is survived by his fiancé, Jessica Martin; children, Destiny Jones (Michael Winder), Melanie Monnier, RaeLynn Jones and Hendrix Jones; beloved grandson, Kenneth Allen Winder; father, Richard Jones, Sr.; sister, Angela Jones; brother, Shaun Jones; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, April 1 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina. In honor of Rich at the calling hours, the family requests guests wear Bills attire, Medina Mustang attire or anything green.
