Ronald F. Tuohey, Sr.

Ronald F. Tuohey, Sr., 89, of Albion, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023 following a lengthy illness.

Born February 8, 1934 in Medina, he was a son of the late Maximillian and Mary (Hoffman) Tuohey. Mr. Tuohey graduated from Medina High School, Class of 1951. Mr. Tuohey’s lifelong passion was for farming. At the age of 19 he bought a farm on Telegraph Road which he named Tuohey Farms. He started out in dairy farming and eventually raising beef cattle and fruit and vegetable farming. Outside of farming, he also worked as a school bus driver for the Medina Central School District for over 40 years. Mr. Tuohey loved spending time with his grandchildren on the farm.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Sharon A. (Smith) Tuohey; children, Pamela (Brad) Anstey, Jeffrey (Ann Marie) Tuohey, David (Mary Lou) Tuohey, Ronald (William) Russell- Tuohey, Jr., Ricky (Katie) Tuohey, Sarah (Tim) Brigham and Rachael (Jeremy) Murray; grandchildren, Derek, Brian, Kelly, Jason, Casey, Nicole, Sawyer, Lily, Alysabeth, Alayna and Ryann; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Robert (Jenny) Tuohey and Geraldine (Gene) Wurdinger; also several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Gates.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 16 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina, where his funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be in Bates Road Cemetery and a luncheon will follow at the Ridgeway Vol. Fire Hall, 11392 Ridge Rd., Medina.
