Jerrene Louise Fredericks Brace

Jerrene Louise Fredericks Brace went home to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ on January 11, 2017. She was born on December 1, 1941 in Hazelhurst, Pennsylvania to Henry Orren Brace and Mary Louise Brace. She was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Mary of West Palm Beach Florida and a brother Orren H. Brace of Olean, NY. Jerrie was a graduate of Olean High School, class of 1959 and a 1987 graduate of Genesee Community College achieving her Registered Nursing degree. Her nursing career started at Arnold Gregory Memorial Hospital in Albion, NY and took her to JFK Medical Center Hospital in Lake Worth Florida which culminated in her retirement, after 20 years, from Lockport Memorial Hospital in 2007. She worked at Owens Illinois Glass in Brockport, Fisher Price Toys Medina, taught Preschool in her home, and worked at the ARC of Orleans County, Stork St. Medina. Most recently she’d been spending her retirement volunteering at the Medina MAAC’s Clothing Depot which she considered a blessing. She was a long time member of Oak Orchard Assembly of God church where she selflessly served where ever there was a need. Of the many wonderful things she has done and the countless lives that were changed by her love and generosity she will be remembered most for her commitment to her Lord, her deep love for her family and her desire to always “let the little children come”. She never missed an opportunity to support and encourage her children and grandchildren and could often be found at their special event or building playhouses or snowmen. She is survived by brothers Ronald and David Brace of Florida, eight children, David (Sharon) Fredericks, Texas, Linda (Bob) Dunn, Texas, Sharon (Jim) Graham, Texas, Mary Ann (Tom) Herman, South Carolina, Merle (Mitzi) Fredericks, Medina NY, Tom (Cindi) Fredericks, Albany NY, Debbie (Carl) Bachman, Medina NY and Karen (Todd) Kyle, Lyndonville NY., 24 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Friends are invited to join us in a celebration of her life on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the Oak Orchard Assembly of God Church, 12111 Ridge Road, Medina NY 14103. Calling hours from 11:00-1:00 followed by the service at 1:00 to be officiated by her son, Reverend Thomas Fredericks and Reverend Daniel Thurber. Memorial contributions in Jerrene’s name may be made to the MAAC Clothing Depot or the Knights and Kaderli Memorial Fund.
