~~Jane T. “Lila” Ogden, formerly of Middleport, passed away on May 30, 2017 at the Villages of Orleans. Jane was one of ten children born to the late Russell and Blanche (Spencer) Thorp on July 5, 1929 in Clearfield, PA. In 1957, she moved to Middleport where she resided for many years. She was a longtime active member of the Middleport United Methodist Church and volunteered at the food pantry. She was employed by Ridge Road Express, as a school bus driver, for thirty one years. Jane was a great cook and baker, loved to bowl, garden, crochet, especially afghans. She really enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren. Survivors include two children, Linda (late Gary) Ogden Hagen of West Chicago, IL and Daniel (Diane) Ogden of Medina; 4 grandchildren, Deana (Ken) Tireman, Dorene (Justin) Smithey, Danielle and Drew Ogden; 6 great grandchildren, Corin, Hailee, Kevin, Kenneth Jr., Anthony and Bella; 2 great grandchildren, Carmen and Isabelle; 2 sisters, Pat Anderson of Tonawanda and Mona Parsons; 2 brothers, William “Tinker” Thorp of PA and Richard Thorp of OH; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Kirk Thorp, Beatrice Currier, Nellie Kester, and twins, Corliss and Glen Thorp. Friends may call on Saturday, June 24, 2017 (2-4) at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 West Center Street, Medina. A Celebration of Life to share memories of Jane will begin at 4 O'Clock following visitation.
