Jennifer A. Holbrook

Mrs. Jennifer A. Holbrook, of Bergen, passed away surrounded by her family on August 15, 2017 at Unity Hospital.

Jennifer was born in Buffalo, June 25, 1962, the daughter of Irene B. (Slusar) and the late Henry A. Kozody.  A graduate of Medina High School, class of 1980, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree at Clarion University of Pennsylvania in 1984 and a Master’s Degree from Nazareth College in 1990.  She was employed as a Speech Language Pathologist at Monroe BOCES 1 for 27 years.

Jennifer married her high school sweetheart, Randy Holbrook, on August 26, 1995.  She was an active parishioner of St. Brigid RC Church in Bergen.  She served her parish as a parish council member and lector.  Jennifer was the chairwoman of the Ladies of Charity at her parish and instrumental in activating the group.  She also enjoyed quilting, gardening, cooking, her cats and talking.

Survivors include her mother, Irene Kozody; brothers, Jeffrey (Mary), David (Kristen), Brian (Carrie), and Paul (Carolyn) Kozody; aunt of Olivia, Macrae, Mason, Mallory and Sophie; her mother-in-law, Jeannine Connor; 2 sisters-in-laws, Desiree (Tim) Roberts and Kristin (Chris) Poehlmann; 2 uncles, an aunt; several cousins; very good friends Tammy Albone, Cheri Sheridan and Leslie Tuk.  She was predeceased by her husband, E. Randall, on June 11, 2016 and her father, Henry A., on Oct. 19, 2016.

Friends may call on Friday (2-4, 6-8) at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina.  The Rev. Michael J. Donovan, O de M, will celebrate her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 11AM at St. Brigid Church, 18 Gibson St., Bergen.  Graveside committal services will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Medina, on Saturday at 3:30.
