Dorothy M. Emanuele

Mrs. Dorothy M. Emanuel, of Medina, passed away at her home on her birthday August 21, 2017. Mrs. Emanuele was born in Medina, August 21, 1936, a daughter of the late Fred and Guelda (Young) Schlegel.  She attended Medina schools and was a lifelong Medina resident.  “Grandma Dottie” operated a Day Care in her home for twenty years and also worked in the Junior High School cafeteria. She loved children and her dog, Gypsy. Survivors include 3 children, Wanda (Nicholas) Labban of Medina, Michelle (Frank Menclewicz) Harris of Middleport and Scott (Christy) Weese of Medina; 10 grandchildren, Lonnie Cuoco, Caleb Weese, Craig Roulier, Monique (Joshua Cocovan) Roulier, Dustin (Jackie Wheatley) Roulier, Taylor Weese, Cassidy Weese, Marissa Miller, Summer Miller and Aleric Murg; many great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel V. Emanuele on October 18, 2003; her daughter, Joyce Ann Weese and her son, Lesle Weese; and siblings, William Schlegel, Dolores Askew and Mary Lou Dellinger. Friends may call on Saturday 10-11 at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina, where her service will be held at 11AM.  Pastor Linda Haight will officiate and interment will be in Bates Road Cemetery.
