Lawrence Shipman

Mr. Lawrence Shipman, of Medina, passed away on January 7, 2018 at Orchard Manor Nursing Home.

Mr. Shipman was born in Eufaula, Alabama, June 15, 1931, a son of the late Vee and Silva Shipman.

He moved to this area in the 1960’s where he worked seasonally for the Smith Farm in Shelby.  Later, he was employed by Abex.  He was an avid fisherman

Survivors include his children, Betty Ann Garman, Lawrence Shipman, Jr., Yolanda Wallace, Janice Poole, Teresa Poole Pinnock and Veronica; several grandchildren; 2 brothers and 4 sisters; host nieces and nephews.

His Home-Going service will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018 at 1PM at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina.
