Gladys Lena Beaver

Gladys L. Beaver, of Medina, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2018 at the Medina Memorial Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility at North Wing.

Mrs. Beaver was born in Medina, August 4, 1927, a daughter of the late Percy and Catherine (Green) Chase.  She was employed by local canning companies, Harrison Radiator Division of GMC for a short time, Bernz-O-Matic and Fisher Price Toys.  She enjoyed working in her home, collected dolls and canning.  Her strawberry jam will be fondly remembered.

Survivors include 4 children, Barbara (Gary) Ostrowski, Cindy (Richard) Ames, Michael Beaver and Robert (Vicky) Beaver; daughter-in-law, Darleen Beaver; 7 grandchildren whom she loved spending time with, James Beaver, II, Nicole (Jeff) Helsdon, Melissa (Chad) Skellon, Alexis (Travis Gleasman) George, Jennifer (Scott Newton) Hazel, Tim (Katie) Ames and Chris Ames; 12 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Leona Heinz and Geraldine Urgart; several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her son, James Beaver, great granddaughter, Samantha “Sammy Jo” and 10 siblings.
