Rhea N. Martin

Mrs. Rhea N. Martin, of Medina, passed away peacefully at her home on October 11, 2018.

Mrs. Martin was born in Medina, August 2, 1947, a daughter of the late Lowell Glenn and Marian (Gratrick) Neal.  She was a graduate of Clearwater Beach, class of 1965, and later earned an Associate’s Degree.  On October 16, 1971, she married Robert V. Martin.  Following graduation, Rhea was employed by Thomas J. Lipton Company and then as a billing clerk at the Medina Memorial Hospital for thirty eight years, retiring in 2008.

Rhea was a member of the First Baptist Church of Medina, the Senior Citizens of Western Orleans and an active member of the Medina Share & Care Cancer Group.  She volunteered at the Medina Area Association of Churches Clothing Depot and the Medina Memorial Hospital Twig Association.  Rhea enjoyed golfing and bowling, quilting, playing cards, especially euchre.  She was a great baker and made delicious cookies.   She was a passionate animal lover.

Survivors include her husband of nearly 47 years, Robert; her daughter, Michelle (Jason) Miller; 2 grandchildren, Alayna and Braden Miller; 2 sisters, Marlo Neal Huey and Carolyn (Jack) Hill; 2 sisters-in-law, Maureen (David) Martin and Patricia (Robert) Craft; 2 brothers-in-law, Gary (Janis) Martin and Brian Martin; several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her mother and father, Marian and Lowell Neal and her mother and father-in-law, Mildred and Vincent Martin.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 1PM at the First Baptist Church of Medina.  The Rev. Michael Stephenson will officiate.
