Mildred I. Green

Mrs. Mildred I. Green, of East Shelby, passed away on November 21, 2018 at the Martin-Linsin Hospice Residence.

Mrs. Green was born in Middleport, July 3, 1941, a daughter of the late Maie O. (Gurrslin) Green and Judson Carlyle Baker.  A graduate of Medina High School, class of 1959, she married Darrell Green on April 30, 1960.  She was a longtime member of the West Barre United Methodist Church and the East Shelby Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary for over fifty five years.  She was employed by the Town of Shelby for twenty years, first as the Deputy Town Clerk and then elected Town Clerk.  She was an avid bowler and enjoyed wintering in Florida for last seventeen years.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Darrell; two children, Susan (Lynn Tomasino) Green and Michael (Leslie) Green; 3 grandchildren, Curtis Foss, Cassidy Oliver and Trent Green; 3 sisters, Virginia (Al)  Kropf, Norma (Ronald) Fisher and Debra Green; sister-in-law, Jean Baker; several nieces and nephews.   She was predeceased by her brother, Eugene J. “Butch” Baker on June 6, 2018.

Friends may call on Sunday (2-5) at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina, where her funeral service will be held on Monday at 11AM.   The Rev. Bradford Hunt, pastor of the West Barre United Methodist Church, will officiate and private interment will be in Millville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Knights Kaderli Memorial Fund, POB 684, Medina, NY  14103-0684.
