Ethel Stachewicz

Mrs. Ethel “Irene” Stachewicz, of Medina, passed away on November 21, 2018 at Orchard Manor Nursing Home.

Mrs. Stachewicz was born in the Town of Ridgeway, February 4, 1927, a daughter of the late Emanuel and Ethel (Blackley) Pritchard.  On August 25, 1945, she married John R. “Sharkey” Stachewicz, Sr.  She was employed by the Medina Memorial Hospital and Dobbins and Ramage, Inc.

Mrs. Stachewicz enjoyed playing cards, crossword puzzles, stitching and crocheting, reading and flowers.

Survivors include her children, John (Marge) Stachewicz, Jr., Sandy (Thomas) Taylor, Teresa, Anthony (Beverly) Stachewicz and Suzanne (Ed) Schutt; 12 grandchildren, several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband, John, on May 20, 2000 and her son, Michael, J., in 2011, and her brother, Roy Dunn.

There will be no prior calling hours.  Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
