Carol K. Fearby

Mrs. Carol K. Fearby, of Medina, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2016 at Strong Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Fearby was born in Medina, December 8, 1936, a daughter of the late E. Raymond and Luella (Higgins) Kelly. A graduate of Medina High School, class of 1955, she married Clifford W. Fearby, Jr. in 1959. Carol was the owner of F & H Metal Finishing Company, Inc. She liked knitting, crafts and was a great cook. Carol enjoyed spending time at her cottage on Lake Ontario and fishing. Carol was a member of Lincoln Post #1483, VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She loved her grandchildren, Kara, Nick and Markie and her great granddaughter, Charli. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Clifford W.; three children, Kim (Bob) Stevens, Tim (Tammy) Fearby and Patti (Shorty) Caleb; 3 grandchildren, Kara (Michael) Zambito, Nicholas (fiancée Sara Weis) Fearby and Markie Caleb; her great granddaughter, Charli Zambito; her sister, Lois (William) Hickey; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Raymond Kelly, in 1988 and her sister, Jean Slattery in 1996. Friends may call on Wednesday (2-4, 7-9) at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 West Center Street, Medina, where her service will be held on Thursday at 11AM. The Rev. Daniel J. Fawls will officiate and interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at the VFW, 216 East Center Street, Medina, following her funeral. As the result of a liver transplant, Carol was given thirteen more quality years of life.
