Kathleen A. (Winans) Salas

Kathleen A. Salas, 59, of Medina, entered into rest on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Born November 13, 1956, Kathy was the daughter of Ronald B. Winans and Dolores A. Parker. She attended Medina High School and went on to have a career in insurance. Besides Medina, she resided in Rochester and then Miami, Florida where she was an insurance agent for Assurant. Kathy was a member of the Lockport Chapter 382 Women of the Moose and in her spare time enjoyed watching old movies. Kathy is survived by her parents, Ronald (Patricia) Winans and Dolores Parker of Medina; 2 children, Lisa Stanley and Raymond Stanley, Jr. of LeRoy; 3 grandchildren, Angelo Asenato of Louisiana, Carmen Vega and Kaylin Stanley of LeRoy; her brother, Michael Winans of Medina; step-sister, Terah Jackson of Medina; nephew, Kirk (Amanda) Winans of N. Chili; aunts, Donna (Barry) Voss of SC and Mary Winans; cousins, Amy (Philip) LaPointe and their children, Peter and Sarah and Andrew Voss; and special friends, Susan (Robert) Surdacki, Carol Brower, Helen Hazel and Betty (John) Huber. Predeceased by her aunt, Marcy Fredericks and uncle, Robert Winans. There will be no prior calling hours. A graveside committal service will be held in Boxwood Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The family wishes to thank Dr. Stahl, Dr. Misiti, HCR Health and the staff at Strong Memorial Hospital for all of their compassionate care during this difficult time.
