Theresa B. Baity

Theresa Baity (Sister Baseemah), of Medina, NY passed away on August 9 2020.

Born February 3, 1963, in Salibia, Common Wealth of Dominica, she was the daughter of the late Bosuit Lararus Valerie and Bernaddette Slick. She moved to Medina in the early 90's and worked at Orleans ABCD migrant head start for 15 plus years. She loved to spend time with her family and friends. She loved cooking, eating, entertaining and spending time with her grandkids. 

Theresa is survived by her 7 children, Luqman Baity, Nafie Baity, Najeeba Baity, Mustafa Baity, Bayyinah Baity, Syed Baity, Natisha Alfred; step-children, Jafar Amin, Rabia Amin, Taqwa Baity, Husain Baity, Salih Baity, Hassan Baity, Tawfiq Baity, Ali Baity, Zainab Baity and Zahir Baity; 10 grandchildren, Shaqor, Jaleel, Malik, Arrianna, Malaki, Amina R., Jeremiah Baity, Eliana Baity, (and one on the way), Joslyn; a sister, Antonia Valmond; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.  Theresa was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, John Valmond; and a sister, Maurina Valmond Alfred.

Services were privately held and burial was in the Jannatul Baqi Cemetery, Shelby Center. Arrangements are in the care of Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina.
