Rosina O'Kussick

Mrs. Rosina “Rose” O’Kussick, of Medina, passed away on July 10, 2016 at the Medina Memorial Hospital. Mrs. O’Kussick was born in Medina, October 13, 1925, the daughter of the late Cesedio and Giovanna “Jenny” (Yucatone) Stornelli. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s School. On October 14, 1950, she married Leon F. O’Kussick and they resided in Medina lifelong. Mrs. O’Kussick was employed by Harrison Radiator Division of GMC, for 20 years, retiring in 1987. She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish/St. Mary’s Church, Court Santa Maria #295, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, was a former member of the St. Mary’s Mother Club and was an active member of St. Mary’s Bereavement Committee. She enjoyed bowling, knitting, crocheting, crafts, making candy and ceramics. Survivors include three children, Patricia (Dick) Townsend of Albion, Mary Ann (Kenneth) Ander of Medina and Peter (Pamela) O’Kussick of Auburn; 5 grandchildren, Scott Boccaccio, Christine Ander, Patrick Ander, Kelly O’Kussick and Leeann (Mark) Cornelius; a great grandchild, Layla Jones; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Leon F. O’Kussick, on January 21, 2016; and her brothers, Samuel in 1929, Dominic in 1955, Alexander in 1999, Sandino “Sandy”, Sr. in 2002 and Settimo “Babe” in 2003. Friends may call on Thursday (4-7) at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 West Center Street, Medina. The Rev. Daniel J. Fawls will celebrate her Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 11AM at Holy Trinity Parish, St. Mary’s Church. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
