Rose M. Patterson

Rose M. Patterson, age 83, of Medina entered into rest peacefully on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at her home following a long illness.

Born June 17, 1937 in Rochester she was a daughter of the late Charles T. and Olive E. (Bartlett) Andre. Rose graduated in the class of 1955 from Holley High School. She married Morris Patterson, Sr. on May 4, 1957 and together raised three children. She worked as a cafeteria cook at the Oak Orchard Elementary School for 30 years. After retirement Rose worked at Rudy’s Diner and also for Devoe Paint in Medina. She was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary in Medina and was also a longtime member of the Calvary Tabernacle Assembly of God Church. Rose enjoyed arts and crafts, traveling with her senior group and most of all spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren.

Rose is predeceased by her husband, Morris “Tex” Patterson, Sr.; a sister, Leona Perry; and brothers, Richard Andre, Robert Andre and Francis “Buzz” Bartlett.

Survivors include her children, Morris (Deborah) Patterson, Jr. of Medina, Cheryl Patterson of Medina and John (Martha) Patterson of Virginia; grandchildren, Amanda (Chris Kisloski) Murphy, Sandra (Steve) Roach, Joshua (Amber) Patterson, Jeremy (Alina) Patterson, Caroline Reeves, Jacob Reeves, MacKenzie Patterson, Nicole (Sean) McBride and Morgan (Mike) Green; several great-grandchildren; siblings, James (Ann) Andre, Arlene (Edward) Snyder and Anna “Skip” (Edward) Nichols; brother in-law, Paul Perry; also several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, Jan. 8th from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 West Center St., Medina. Masks and social distancing will be mandatory. Interment will be held at a later date in Salado, Texas.
